Assistant Project Manager, Mechanical (Hvac, Plumbing, Piping, Sheet Metal)

A well-established commercial mechanical contractor is adding an Assistant Project Manager to its growing team. You'll support Project Managers on commercial, healthcare, education, industrial and multifamily projects, with a clear path to running your own jobs.What you'll do- Support PMs on HVAC, plumbing, piping and sheet metal projects from award through closeout- Prepare and track submittals, RFIs, change orders and purchase orders- Coordinate with field foremen, the general contractor, engineers and suppliers on schedule and materials- Help with cost tracking, billing and job budgets- Attend project meetings and keep logs and documentation current- Use Procore, Bluebeam and estimating softwareWhat you bring- A degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent field experience- Mechanical contractor or construction internship or work experience preferred- Ability to read mechanical plans and specs- Strong organization and communication skills- A drive to grow into a Project Manager roleWhat's offered- Competitive salary and bonus- Full benefits: medical, dental, vision and a 401(k) with match- Paid time off and holidays- Vehicle or mileage allowance- Training and a clear path to PMInterested?
