Assistant Project ManagerReputable firm, based in Cambridge MA, offering Project & Real Estate services is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join their team! Current hiring need for an upcoming Higher Education project. Specializing in Commercial Construction, including: Corporate, Higher Education, Life Science, Non-profit, mission critical, etc. Over 80% of business from repeat clients - very reputable! Tons of room for growth & career development internally.The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for:Managing multiple projects in various locations, touring sites daily during construction
Participating in the design process providing budget, schedule, and construct-ability input
Reviewing and interpreting plans & specifications
Managing relationships and interfacing with appropriate personnel on a daily basis
Preparing requests for proposals, analyzing/aligning bids, making award recommendation
Negotiating and preparing construction & consultant contracts
Providing day-to-day management, technical direction, supervision and coordination of construction activities
Reviewing and tracking project invoices, RFIs, Submittals, BudgetsDeveloping, managing, and updating project schedule
Evaluating and negotiating pay requests and change orders
Working with property management team
Leading regularly scheduled meetings
Administering punch list and project close-out activities

Demonstrates good judgement and professionalism
Handle multiple tasks in an organized manner
Produce quality work on strict deadlines
Strong technical abilities with construction systems
Experience managing a team of design/construction professionals
