Assistant Project Manager

Skilled Trades Partners is currently hiring an Assistant Project Manager for a reputable commercial construction contractor based in Needham, MA. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated construction professional looking to grow their career with a strong, team-oriented organization.

The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the Project Manager and project team to support all phases of construction from preconstruction through closeout.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily communication and relationships with subcontractors

• Support the Project Manager and project team with coordination of construction activities

• Review and help coordinate contract documents

• Assist in developing project schedules and budgets

• Interface with permit plans and coordinate with city inspectors

• Support project closeout with City/Town officials

• Create and manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders

• Manage and distribute drawings and design documents

• Assist in preparing bid packages and subcontracts

• Attend and take an active leadership role in construction meetings

• Submit invoices for payment and assist with cost estimating

• Guide subcontractors and track long-lead items

• Support the Estimating Department and field staff as needed

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

• Knowledge of Procore and Timberline required

• Internship or experience in public and/or private CM/GC projects preferred

• Strong organizational skills with excellent follow-through

• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and eagerness to learn

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Authorized to work in the United States

• Ability to navigate active construction sites
