Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support the successful delivery of multifamily construction projects. In this role, you will work closely with the Project Manager to coordinate project activities, track budgets and schedules, manage documentation, and help ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience managing complex construction projects while working alongside experienced construction professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager in managing construction projects from preconstruction through project closeout.
  • Assist with developing and maintaining project schedules to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
  • Track project budgets, cost reports, and change orders to support financial control and project profitability.
  • Coordinate communication between owners, architects, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Track and manage project documentation includingRFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project correspondence.
  • Assist with procurement of materials and subcontractors and help ensure timely delivery to job sites.
  • Monitor project progress and report schedule, budget, or quality concerns to the Project Manager.
  • Support subcontractor coordination and help resolve project issues in collaboration with the project team.
  • Participate in Owner–Architect–Contractor (OAC) meetings and assist with meeting documentation and follow-up actions.
  • Promote a strong safety culture by supporting jobsite safety policies and ensuring compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Assist with project closeout activities including documentation, punch list completion, and warranty coordination.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in the construction industry, preferably in a project management or related role
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software (such as ProCore or similar)
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed throughout AZ and NM
  • OSHA 10 certification is preferred
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. We do not sponsor employment visas now or in the future.
