Position Summary

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in leading our Waltham retail location, helping deliver an authentic, high-energy customer experience rooted in Boston Scally's bold, hardworking spirit.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on sales, team development, and daily operations. As a key representative of the brand, you'll help foster a welcoming, community-driven environment where customers feel connected to Boston Scally and proud to wear it.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a growing brand, help shape the in-store experience, and build strong retail operations from the ground up.

What You'll Do

Sales & Customer Experience

• Lead by example on the sales floor, delivering exceptional, engaging customer service
• Build strong relationships with customers and foster a sense of community
• Act as a brand ambassador by actively wearing, promoting, and educating customers on products
• Support achievement of sales, conversion, and productivity goals

Store Operations

• Support daily store operations and assume leadership responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence
• Maintain a clean, organized, and visually compelling store environment
• Assist with scheduling, store coverage, and operational readiness
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Merchandising & Inventory

• Execute visual merchandising and floor sets aligned with brand storytelling
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving, restocking, and organization
• Participate in cycle counts, physical inventory, and reconciliations

Team Leadership & Development

• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and coaching of store associates
• Help create a positive, collaborative, and performance-driven team culture
• Provide feedback and insights to improve team effectiveness and store performance

Brand & Business Insights

• Monitor sales trends and product performance, sharing insights with leadership
• Stay informed on local market trends, competitors, and community opportunities
• Partner with cross-functional teams (E-Commerce, Marketing, Customer Experience) to support a seamless omnichannel experience

What We're Looking For

• 1–3 years of retail experience; leadership or keyholder experience preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to represent the brand authentically
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment
• Passion for streetwear, fashion, and brand storytelling
• Appreciation for Boston culture and the Boston Scally brand
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and move for extended periods during shifts
• Comfortable lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs
• Ability to work both on the sales floor and in stockroom environments
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and peak retail periods
