Job Description

Job Summary: The Assistant Store Manager/Key Holder will support the Mission, Vision, and Culture of the store by increasing sales and assisting the Store Manager in overall store management.Responsibilities:- Increase sales and maintain all selling and productivity goals.- Serve as the manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.- Manage a team of seven staff members.- Create schedules to ensure service and sales levels are maintained.- Recommend candidates for hire, discipline, and termination.- Perform cash register duties such as counting money, following register procedures, and organizing daily receipts.- Train and coach the sales team on selling techniques and products.- Monitor the store for theft and security risks.- Understand the store concept and adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.- Develop a marketing strategy, arrange displays, and ensure customer satisfaction to drive growth.- Place orders, prepare sales and customer relations reports, and keep store inventory at proper levels.- Assist customers by providing information, answering questions, and completing payment transactions.- Maintain quality service standards and create a positive, safe, and clean work environment.Qualifications:- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.- Ability to work evenings and weekends.- 3+ years of retail store sales experience preferred.- Proven track record in sales generation.- Demonstrated leadership skills to positively influence and educate team members.- Customer service orientation and ability to build relationships in person.- Strong presentation and problem-solving skills.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Organizational and planning abilities.- Driven to meet goals and generate results.- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software and Point of Sales Systems (POS).Education:- High School diploma or GED required.- Bachelor's degree or some college education preferred.Physical Requirements:- Involves standing and walking for up to 4 hours per day.- Lifting and carrying objects ranging from 11 to 50 pounds.- Ability to bend, squat, climb, run, reach above shoulder level, and operate a motor vehicle.- Travel by airplane may be required.
