Assistant Teacher- Early Childhood Education
Pay: $16-$18 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

About The Learning Experience
The Learning Experience- Jenison is seeking a caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. Our center offers a warm, supportive environment where children learn through play, exploration, and hands-on discovery.

Responsibilities
Support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
Assist with implementing the L.E.A.P. Curriculum, engaging children in play-based learning and daily routines.
Help guide classroom activities including circle time, sensory play, early literacy, art, and outdoor exploration.
Build positive relationships with children and families through daily communication and a friendly, professional presence.
Assist with meal times, diapering or toileting, classroom organization, and maintaining safety and cleanliness.
Work collaboratively with center leadership to uphold licensing standards and classroom quality.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or childcare program preferred.
CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus.
Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
CPR and First Aid certification preferred (training available).
Must meet all Michigan childcare licensing requirements.
