Compensation Range

The base pay scale for this position is $198,500.00 - $302,750.00. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

AVP, Brand Marketing

SUMMARY

The AVP, Brand Marketing is a senior enterprise leader who partners closely with the Chief Marketing Officer to shape and activate HSS's enterprise brand strategy. This role translates the strategic brand vision, positioning, and narrative into high-impact marketing systems that drive growth across service lines, regions, and partnerships. The AVP brings market insight, creative leadership, operational rigor, and ownership of brand health metrics to ensure the brand's performance, consistency, and influence across all marketing channels and touchpoints.

The AVP serves as an enterprise integrator for brand marketing-aligning service line growth priorities, regional activation, content strategy, media performance, and narrative storytelling into a unified marketing engine. The role leads enterprise brand activation, governance, and portfolio prioritization to ensure clarity, speed, and impact.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

ENTERPRISE BRAND ACTIVATION & INTEGRATED STRATEGY

  • Translate enterprise brand strategy into annual and quarterly marketing priorities, integrated campaign plans, and go‑to‑market approaches.
  • Ensure alignment across brand, service lines, regional marketing, digital, content, PR, and partnerships.
  • Establish campaign north stars, message architecture, creative direction, and channel intent.
  • Drive consistent execution across all marketing systems to support enterprise visibility and growth.
  • Provide enterprise-level oversight of sponsorship strategy and event activation to ensure alignment with brand priorities and growth goals.

PORTFOLIO PRIORITIZATION & GOVERNANCE

  • Lead portfolio prioritization across service lines, regions, and partnerships to maximize business impact.
  • Chair governance forums for planning, creative review, and launch readiness.
  • Align teams and resources, reduce delays, and accelerate decision velocity.
  • Ensure regional activations uphold brand integrity, compliance, and IP standards.

AGENCY LEADERSHIP & CREATIVE EXCELLENCE

  • Serve as strategic lead for creative agency partners.
  • Elevate creative standards and sharpen briefs, scopes, and narrative ladders.
  • Develop and track creative KPIs and benchmarks.

CROSS‑FUNCTIONAL INTEGRATION (PR, MEDIA, PERFORMANCE, CONTENT, WEB)

  • Partner with the AVP, Media & Performance to integrate planning, measurement frameworks, and channel strategies and to ensure cohesive brand experience across digital properties.
  • Co-own consumer journey mapping, message development, and engagement pathways.
  • Collaborate with Communications/PR leadership to align brand narrative, storytelling, and reputation-building efforts.
  • Provide strategic oversight and direction to the Content Strategy team to maximize impact of integrated storytelling.

BRAND GOVERNANCE, SYSTEMS & COMPLIANCE

  • Maintain consistent brand expression across all channels and markets.
  • Ensure compliance with co‑branding and partnership standards.

MEASUREMENT, ACCOUNTABILITY & BRAND HEALTH OWNERSHIP

  • Define and track brand health measurement, including perception metrics, awareness, consideration, preference, and equity drivers.
  • Partner with analytics to define and track campaign and media KPIs.
  • Translate performance insights into optimized messaging, creative, and investment decisions.
  • Lead adoption of AI‑enabled tools to improve planning, personalization, discoverability, and execution.

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY

  • Plan, manage, and report on the brand marketing budget and allocate resources efficiently to maximize enterprise impact and ROI.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 12+ years of brand marketing leadership experience.
  • Proven track record leading enterprise‑level integrated campaigns.
  • Experience in healthcare or similarly complex, regulated environments preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate brand strategy into scalable campaign systems.
  • Strong governance, operational, and organizational leadership.
  • Executive‑level communication and stakeholder influence skills.
  • High proficiency in marketing analytics, brand health measurement, and performance insights.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, develop talent, and drive execution excellence.
