Pay rate ranges from $61.71 to $66.86 based on experience. Job Summary:N/AJob Responsibilities:-Supervises and monitors Case Management activities.
- Conducts and coordinates Case Management Nurse s orientation and training.
- Develops Case Management Department policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other hospital departments.
- Identifies, documents, and trends utilization issues; creates and facilitates implementation of solutions with appropriate staff/departments.
- Serves as resource person to Case Management staff and other hospital personnel.
- Represent the Director at meetings and in the Director s absence.
- Identifies problems by taking appropriate measures to ensure resolution.
- Interprets and assures compliance with regulatory bodies.
- Conducts other duties as requested by management to ensure efficient department and hospital operations.
- Performs other related duties assigned by supervisor. In an emergency, other duties are performed necessary for the welfare of patients or the efficient operations of the institution.

Skills: Required Skills & Experience:-Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience in direct patient care.-Minimum one (1) year of supervisory experience in quality assessment or utilization management.-Critical thinking, math, and computer skills.

- Excellent oral and communication skills.
- Decision making and problem solving.
- Able to read, write, see and hear English.-Ability to fully utilize BHMC s electronic record systems, equipment and other healthcare and billing systems relevant to this position.Preferred Skills & Experience:-N/APhysical Requirements:-Physically demanding, high-stress environment requiring prolonged periods of standing, reaching, walking throughout the working day.
- Position will be required to stoop, bend, lift, and carry items weighing up to 35 pounds for routine performance of essential functions.
- An individual in this position may be exposed to: Adverse indoor environmental conditions, Blood borne pathogens, Blood and body fluids, Physical hazards (e.g., needle pricks, etc.), communicable diseases, chemical hazards, radiation, and repetitive motions.
- Full range of body motion, able to lift up to 100 pounds, if necessary, to assist lifting and moving patients.
- Manual and finger dexterity, as well as hand and eye coordination.
- Corrected vision and hearing to within normal range.
- Frequently sitting at desk working on computer.
Education: Required Education:-Bachelor s degree in nursing (BSN).Preferred Education:-Master s degree in nursing (MSN).Required Certification & Licensure:-Registered Nurse; licensed in New York State.
- Case Manager Certification (CCM).
- Basic Life Support (BLS).Preferred Certification & Licensure:-Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
