  • Review and organize large and often imperfect datasets, synthesize information efficiently, and identify meaningful trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Independently expand the scope of assigned projects when doing so improves the research process or strengthens stock selection or conviction
  • Distill complex analysis into clear, concise, investment-relevant conclusions for use in team discussions and decision-making
  • Participate actively in Communications Services team meetings, company management meetings, and broader investment team meetings
  • Support evolving team priorities and take on additional responsibilities as needed in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment
  • Carry out other duties as assigned

  • Complimentary subscription to Headspace - the mindfulness app
  • Discounted membership to ClassPass and other health and well-being benefits
  • Unique employee events and programs including a 14er challenge
  • Complimentary beverages, snacks and all employee Happy Hours

Must have skills

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, mathematics, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of equity research experience, preferably on the buy side and ideally with experience in the Communications Services sector
  • Strong ability to gather, structure, analyze, and synthesize large amounts of information from varied sources
  • Solid grounding in valuation and financial analysis, including DCFs and return-based frameworks such as ROIC and ROE
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze financial statements and build detailed financial models

  • Ability to collaborate effectively and build relationships that support strong execution and business outcomes

Nice to have skills

  • Demonstrated intellectual curiosity, creativity, and analytical rigor in situations involving complexity or incomplete information
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to probe important details and develop insight through thoughtful dialog
  • A track record of identifying non-obvious trends, inflection points, or competitive advantages through original research
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to go beyond the immediate assignment when it will improve the investment process
