Job Description

Position Summary:

Brookfield Asset Management is seeking an Associate to join its public investor relations team. The individual selected will be part of a fast-paced and engaging team environment that plays an important role in how Brookfield communicates its strategy, financial performance, and long-term growth to the global investment community. Brookfield is one of the largest alternative asset managers in the world, managing over $1.2 trillion of assets across its investment platforms.

The role reports directly to the Managing Director of Investor Relations, providing close, day-to-day exposure to the MD's work and decision-making. In addition, the position carries high visibility to senior management and other firm leaders, offering occasional interaction with the C-suite and business group heads as part of investor-facing initiatives.

This is a dynamic and multifaceted role that offers the opportunity to work on a fast-paced and engaging team, develop a strong internal network across Brookfield's five business groups, as well as the corporate finance and operations teams, while also engaging externally with equity research analysts and public shareholders.

The Associate will contribute to a range of high-impact deliverables that support the firm's engagement with the investment community, including the preparation of quarterly earnings materials (such as the shareholder letter, conference call scripts, and supplemental), Investor Day and other presentations, and materials for the Board of Directors. The role will also involve drafting press releases, conducting competitive intelligence on alternative asset management peers, and supporting other ad-hoc analytical and strategic projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the quarterly earnings process, coordinating inputs across Accounting, FP&A, Treasury, and business groups to produce accurate, high-quality deliverables including the shareholder letter, earnings press release, supplemental, conference call scripts, and comprehensive Q&A support materials.

  • Maintain and enhance recurring investor reporting processes, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and improve the clarity, consistency, and quality of investor materials.

  • Develop materials for investors and firm leadership, including investor presentations, briefing materials for the Board of Directors and C-suite, and elements of Brookfield's corporate strategy.

  • Serve as a point of contact for equity research analysts, responding to inquiries, maintaining a strong understanding of analyst financial models, and producing analysis comparing Brookfield's internal forecasts to Street expectations.

  • Support investor meetings and roadshows, including preparing presentation materials and analysis, participating in non-deal roadshows and investor conferences, and summarizing investor feedback and key discussion themes for senior management and internal CRM tracking.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, investment teams, and corporate functions to ensure consistency, accuracy, and alignment across investor-facing materials.

  • Conduct competitive intelligence on alternative asset management peers, including monitoring earnings releases, investor materials, analyst commentary, and strategic developments; maintain and regularly update an internal peer intelligence report summarizing key trends, performance comparisons, and messaging across the industry.

  • Support strategic and analytical ad-hoc projects for the Investor Relations team and senior leadership, including financial analysis, presentation development, and research related to investor communications, market positioning, and corporate strategy.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in investor relations, investment banking, equity research, capital markets, asset management, or a related financial role.

  • Strong financial literacy, including understanding of financial statements, capital markets, and a demonstrated interest in asset management and investment strategies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce concise, professional materials suitable for external investors, including drafting written communications and developing presentation slides.

  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to distill complex financial information into clear insights and key messages.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Self-starter with an ownership mindset, demonstrating initiative, resourcefulness, and the ability to work independently.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively across teams and interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

This position would be suitable for those candidates who meet the position requirements and who thrive in a performance-driven environment that emphasizes employee leadership and accountability for delivering results.

Salary Range: $120,000 - $145,000
