Associate Athletic Trainer - Full Time

JOB SUMMARY
The full-time Associate Athletic Trainer will maintain and coordinate a comprehensive sports medicine program for Spalding University athletics under the leadership of the Head Athletic Trainer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform professional and administrative services essential for the success of the program under the supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer
- Duties will include injury prevention, emergency care, first aid and physical rehabilitation of injuries incurred by Spalding University's intercollegiate athletes
- Will organize and conduct medically prescribed sports rehabilitation and conditioning programs following an injury and be responsible for appropriate organization and implementation of athletic insurance claim paperwork and follow-up as necessary
- Also supervise and participate in the teaching of graduate athletic training students enrolled in an innovative, new entry-level Master of Science Degree Program in Athletic Training. Some weekends and overnight travel are required
- Other Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Practice and game supervision/coverage
- Effective communication with athletes, coaches, families, university officials, and physicians
- Referring athletes for appropriate diagnostic, follow-up procedures, and injury tracking.
