Job Description

The ACD, Copy is both a hands-on writer and a creative leader. They partner closely with an ACD, Art to develop big ideas, shape brand voices, and turn complex healthcare stories into clear, compelling creative.

They help teams crack concepts, push the work further, and make sure the thinking is just as strong as the execution. Along the way, they mentor writers, collaborate across teams, and confidently present ideas to clients.

The goal is simple: create smart, meaningful work that connects with audiences and helps move the client’s business forward.

Responsibilities

  •  Partner with ACD, Art and strategy to lead concept development and shape campaign ideas from the start.
  • Write across formats and channels—from campaign platforms and headlines to video, digital experiences, social, and long-form content.
  •  Help teams turn complicated science into clear, engaging stories without losing the accuracy behind it.
  • Mentor and guide copywriters, helping them strengthen both their thinking and their craft.
  • Work closely with art, design, and production to bring ideas to life across every touchpoint.
  • Present work to clients, helping them see the strategy and storytelling behind the ideas.
  •  Make sure every line of copy feels sharp, on brand, and strategically sound.
  • Collaborate with account and project management to keep work moving smoothly from concept through launch.
  •  Build a deeper understanding of the science, therapeutic areas, and disease states behind the work.
  •  Help shape the creative culture of the team, encouraging curiosity, collaboration, and bold thinking..

Requirements

  • A strong portfolio showing smart ideas and great writing across different channels
  • 8–10+ years of experience in advertising or brand storytelling
  • Healthcare or pharmaceutical advertising experience preferred
  • Someone who can lead ideas, guide writers, and collaborate closely with art partner
  • Ability to translate complex science into clear, engaging messaging
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills
  • A collaborative mindset and a curiosity about healthcare, science, and the people the work ultimately serves
  • Experience working in a Pharmaceutical Advertising Agency

Pay Range- $150,000 - $170,000
