Position Overview

The Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Instructor plays a vital role in educating and mentoring future nurses. This position is responsible for delivering curriculum content, supporting student success, and helping learners develop the professional and clinical skills needed to succeed in nursing practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver ADN curriculum through engaging classroom and/or clinical instruction

  • Mentor and support students throughout the nursing program

  • Promote professional behavior, clinical competence, and student success

  • Maintain current knowledge, clinical expertise, and safety standards in assigned subject areas

  • Collaborate with academic leadership and faculty to ensure program quality and consistency

Qualifications

  • Current, active Texas RN license

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree, preferably in Nursing

    • Preference for Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)

    • If the Master’s degree is in another discipline, candidate must hold a BSN plus six (6) graduate-level nursing credits

  • Demonstrated teaching ability and commitment to student learning

Experience

  • Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience in a professional nursing education program
