The Importance of the Role

As a strategic partner and senior HR leader, the Associate Director, HR Business Partner (HRBP) leads and delivers people strategies that enable functional and enterprise business objectives. This role partners closely with senior leaders and Extended Leadership Team members to anticipate organizational and talent needs, diagnose risks and opportunities, and design scalable solutions that advance Sarepta's mission.

The Associate Director, HRBP serves as a trusted advisor and internal consultant to leaders and employees, acting as a change leader and employee champion across assigned functions and the broader enterprise. This role exercises independent judgment, influences without authority, and leads complex people initiatives that span multiple HR Centers of Excellence (COEs).

A successful Associate Director, HRBP demonstrates strong business acumen, proactively integrates talent, organizational, and culture strategies, and brings an enterprise mindset to all work. As a leader within the HR Business Partner team, this role models Sarepta leadership behaviors and contributes to the evolution of HR strategy, capabilities, and operating effectiveness.

The Opportunity to Make a Difference

  • Partner with senior functional leaders to shape and execute strategic workforce, organizational, and talent plans that support short‑ and long‑term business priorities
  • Lead and/or sponsor critical, enterprise‑wide talent and culture initiatives that advance Sarepta's business strategy and mission
  • Act as a senior internal consultant to leaders and teams, providing expert guidance on organizational design, change management, leadership effectiveness, and employee relations
  • Coach senior leaders and people managers to drive high performance, accountability, and an inclusive, engaging culture
  • Collaborate across the HR function to design and deliver integrated, high‑impact solutions in areas including performance management, leadership development, career development, and employee engagement
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition and business leaders to forecast workforce needs, support key hiring decisions, and ensure effective onboarding and accelerated integration
  • Lead complex and sensitive employee relations matters and investigations, ensuring consistency, fairness, and compliance with company practices and employment laws
  • Serve as a steward of Sarepta people programs (e.g., Own Your Career Journey, Year of the Manager), ensuring effective adoption and sustained impact
  • Provide expert guidance on HR policies, practices, and legal considerations; partner closely with Legal to mitigate risk and ensure compliance
  • Contribute as a leader within the HRBP community, sharing best practices, mentoring others, and strengthening enterprise HR capability

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, Business, or related field required
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including demonstrated leadership in talent management, organizational effectiveness, and change initiatives
  • Strong business and financial acumen with the ability to translate business strategy into people solutions in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders, manage complexity, and drive results through partnership rather than authority
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem‑solving, and judgment; strong communication and executive presence
  • Demonstrated success operating with autonomy, leading enterprise initiatives, and navigating ambiguity
  • Experience in a lean, growth‑oriented environment preferred
