Job Description

When you join Verizon

You want more out of a career. A place to share your ideas freely — even if they’re daring or different. Where the true you can learn, grow, and thrive. At Verizon, we power and empower how people live, work and play by connecting them to what brings them joy. We do what we love — driving innovation, creativity, and impact in the world. Our V Team is a community of people who anticipate, lead, and believe that listening is where learning begins. In crisis and in celebration, we come together — lifting our communities and building trust in how we show up, everywhere & always. Want in? Join the #VTeamLife.

What you’ll be doing...

As Associate Director, Partner Channel Communications, you'll lead the communications and enablement strategy for the Partner Channels — all of which sell differently and require dedicated, tailored support. You'll own how we reach and enable our Indirect Channel, National Retail, Military, RSS vendors, Inside Sales teams, and you'll be the accountable partner to the senior executives who own those relationships.

  • Building tailored strategies and support models for distinct audiences — Indirect, National Retail (Walmart, Best Buy), Military, RSS vendors, Inside Sales — each with its own workflow.

  • Partnering with the internal teams that support each channel; sit in their forums and build for their specific needs.

  • Providing dedicated executive engagement and air cover across SVP- and VP-level partner leaders.

  • Partnering with the broader Channel Comms leadership team and Readiness teams to ensure alignment on all multichannel comms packages, reinforcements and sales tools.

  • Innovating and continuing to drive AI-enabled ways of working.

  • Owning dedicated deliverables that power briefings and huddles.

  • Managing a high volume of channel communications on tight timelines without sacrificing quality.

  • Driving consistency and parity across channels while honoring each partner's unique compliance needs.

This hybrid role will have a defined work location set by the manager with in office days.

What we’re looking for...

  • Strong communications, enablement or channel operations leader, with partner channel experience.

  • Skilled relationship manager who can navigate multiple SVP and VP level stakeholders with competing priorities.

  • AI-Driven leader, obsessed with how to leverage the technology to make our work faster, simpler and more efficient.

  • Able to build tailored strategies for distinct audiences rather than one-size-fits-all.

  • Organized and resilient under high volume and tight timelines.

  • Strategic builder comfortable standing up a function and continuing to innovate to serve our stakeholders.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Experience in communications, enablement, channel operations, or partner/channel management.

  • Experience managing stakeholders and delivering on tight timelines.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Experience managing external partner or vendor relationships.

  • Familiarity with compliance requirements for partner channels.

  • Experience building enablement packages or channel communications at scale.

  • Experience engaging and influencing senior executives.

If Verizon and this role sound like a fit for you, we encourage you to apply even if you don’t meet every “even better” qualification listed above.

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.
