Job Description

Flaherty Sensabaugh Bonasso PLLC is a dynamic law firm with a strong focus on high-stakes, complex litigation. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional legal representation while fostering a collaborative and professional work environment. We are currently seeking a full-time Associate Litigation Attorney located in our Charleston, WV office.

Position Overview: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling mass litigation matters, including multidistrict litigation (MDL), class actions, and complex product liability or consumer claims. This role requires someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a high-volume caseload with precision and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Handle all aspects of litigation, from pre-suit investigation through trial and appeal
Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, and discovery
Conduct and defend depositions
Develop case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys
Attend hearings, mediations, and trials
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal team members

Requirements:

J.D. from an accredited law school
Active and in good standing with the West Virginia Bar
2-3+ years of litigation experience, with a strong emphasis on mass litigation
Experience with MDLs, class actions, or large-scale product liability litigation strongly preferred
Excellent legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
