Job Description
Title: Associate Operational Risk & Controls AnalystOffice Status: Onsite New York, NY (5 Days)Base Salary: $65k $80k + BonusABOUT THE ROLE This is an Associate-level Operational Risk Monitoring opportunity at a well-established financial institution, focused on the daily administration and monitoring of operational risk across accounting, clearing, parameter management, and routine branch business operations. The role offers meaningful exposure to operational risk frameworks, business operation examinations, and risk mitigation reporting within a structured, compliance-driven banking environment. Mandarin/Chinese language proficiency is required for this role.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Risk and Internal Control Officer (RICO) with operational risk management planning, procedure establishment and updates, and reporting
- Perform daily and periodic operational risk monitoring across accounting business, clearing business, parameter management, accounting archives, business continuity, and routine branch operations
- Complete business operation examinations on a periodic and as-needed basis;analyze findings and provide risk mitigation measure suggestions
- Prepare operational risk monitoring analysis and reports for internal stakeholders
- Assist RICO in the construction and management of operational risk management systems and the accounting archive system
- Maintain confidentiality across all risk monitoring activities and ensure accurate documentation of all findings and correspondence
- Perform other duties and assignments as directed by RICO and department leadership
