Position Overview:

As Associate Product Manager, your primary responsibility is to execute the product strategy for our digital client portal. You will support the end-to-end product lifecycle, from discovery and requirements gathering to launch and iteration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and client feedback reviews to identify opportunities for improving the digital experience

  • Write clear user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria to guide development team

  • Assist in managing the product backlog, ensuring priorities align with business goals and client needs

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, legal, technology, and operations, to deliver high-quality products

  • Track KPIs and evaluate metrics for new features, and recommend improvements

  • Support product managers in preparing presentations, business cases, and updates for senior stakeholders

  • Knowledge:

  • Good oral and written communication skills are required. Experienced in constructing/overseeing logical and conclusive presentations

  • Excellent understanding of platform technologies, including cloud migrations, back-end integrations, UI/UX design, and financial services capabilities

  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Confluence)

  • Good in building key relationships, influencing and negotiating with clients, partners and leaders across multiple disciplines

  • Program or project management experience is advantageous; planning, analysis, design and governance

  • Experience:

  • A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required

  • 3+ years of experience in Agile product management

  • Financial Services industry experience

  • Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery

Salary Range:

$80,800 - 133,400 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
