What is the role?
The Commercial Tax Team's Professional Business Process Owner plays a critical role in developing and executing Cotality's Enterprise Operational Group's (EOG) strategy, driving both the future of the business unit and shaping the efficacy of its functions. This individual is tasked with ensuring the team uses and/or develops assets and capabilities needed to improve production and efficiencies that meet or exceed customer expectations. This entails developing actionable solutions for some of the most challenging operational issues. These issues often span multiple processes, functions, vendors, and geographies, requiring fresh and disruptive thinking to navigate the ever-changing environment in which we operate.
What will you be doing?
- Monitor daily offshore operations to ensure consistent adherence to established processes and quality standards.
- Assist in the compilation and analysis of performance data to provide visibility into operational health.
- Support the tracking and reporting of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring all targets and contractual obligations are met.
- Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day operational issues.
- Conduct formal root cause analysis on process failures or performance gaps to identify underlying issues and prevent recurrence.
- Proactively identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies within the workflow and propose actionable solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive process documentation (SOPs) and support global efforts to standardize operations.
- Actively participate in process improvement initiatives and Lean projects to drive operational excellence.
Job Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 2+ years of experience in business process operations, vendor management, or a high-volume shared services environment.
- A strong drive for efficiency with a foundational understanding of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and how they impact business outcomes.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data sets, identify trends, and assist in creating performance reports.
- Proven ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships and navigate complex vendor dynamics.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to follow (and improve) structured processes without sacrificing accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, handling varying deadlines and degrees of complexity with a proactive approach.
- A strong interest in-or foundational knowledge of-Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
Required Skills:
- Exceptional ability to prioritize and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.
- Foundational data analysis skills with the ability to interpret performance metrics and assist in generating management-level reports.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across global teams.
- A proactive desire to learn and specialize in Business Process Management and operational governance.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Prior experience in B2B payment services, funds management, or commercial/residential tax payment services.
- Experience viewing Jira for task/escalation tracking and Tableau for data visualization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically in utilizing Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas to manipulate large datasets.
- Familiarity with creating flowcharts or process maps to document standard operating procedures.
Annual Pay Range:
54,300 - 72,800 USD
