Position summary

Coordinate daily field execution of landscape and applicable irrigation installations across assigned production home communities. Working under the Senior PM, take ownership of assigned lots by verifying readiness, tracking progress, checking quality, maintaining records, and closing punch-list items. This is an entry-level project management role for someone with a foundation in construction or landscape work who wants to be trained in Hittle's methods, with a structured development path toward Project Manager as capability is demonstrated.

Key responsibilities

  • Visit assigned communities and verify lot readiness, access, scope, materials, and installation prerequisites before scheduled starts.

  • Coordinate daily work with crew leaders and the scheduler; promptly communicate readiness changes, delays, and resource needs.

  • Maintain lot-level installation status and communicate routine updates to builder construction managers within delegated authority.

  • Read plans, verify quantities and scope, and flag discrepancies or requested extras to the Senior PM before making commitments.

  • Perform installation quality checks and document completion, photos, acceptance, and punch-list requirements.

  • Track labor and material usage, verify work-ticket information, and flag budget variances or incorrect coding.

  • Own punch-list and warranty follow-up for assigned lots, with clear owners and completion dates.

  • Support irrigation coordination and documented watering or establishment responsibilities where applicable.

  • Prepare accurate project records and completion information for the Senior PM and billing team.

  • Reinforce site safety expectations and escalate unsafe conditions immediately.

Required qualifications

  • Degree or coursework in construction management, landscape architecture, horticulture, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on industry experience; zero to two years of construction, landscape, or field coordination experience (internships count).

  • Ability to read (or quickly learn to read) construction and landscape plans, maintain accurate records, and coordinate multiple daily priorities.

  • Clear communication with customers and field crews; sound judgment about when to escalate issues.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and willingness to learn Aspire and other company systems.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel among local job sites.

  • Strong interest in building a career in construction project management.

Preferred qualifications

  • Internship, co-op, or seasonal experience in production homes, landscape installation, irrigation, or sitework.

  • OSHA 10 training, irrigation certification, or other relevant technical training.

  • Spanish language skills helpful for field coordination.

Performance measures

  • Accuracy and timeliness of readiness checks and lot-status updates.

  • Completion of assigned installations and punch lists by agreed dates.

  • Quality inspection results and avoidable rework.

  • Complete work-ticket, photo, and closeout documentation.

  • Timely escalation of scope, schedule, cost, and safety issues.

Work environment

Combination of office and active construction-site work, with local travel as needed. Work may require early starts and seasonal schedule flexibility. Site visits involve walking on uneven terrain and exposure to weather; required personal protective equipment must be used. Essential duties may be performed with reasonable accommodation.
