In this role, you will help ensure products are delivered on time by managing supplier relationships, monitoring inventory levels, and coordinating purchasing activities with internal teams. • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to support on-time delivery and improve supplier performance
• Review and approve purchase orders while collaborating with demand planning teams to maintain inventory goals
• Monitor and resolve backorder issues to support customer service and inventory objectives
• Maintain supplier information, including costs, lead times, minimum order quantities, and related purchasing data
• Partner with internal departments and suppliers to negotiate terms, resolve issues, and support business goals
• Identify and communicate urgent supply chain issues to management
• Assist with additional projects and responsibilities as assigned

What You Need to Bring

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• At least one year of supply chain, purchasing, logistics, inventory management, or related experience
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and Conditional Formatting
• Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills
• Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a continuous improvement mindset
• Ability to negotiate, influence, and resolve conflicts professionally
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision #metrocareers
