Associate Scientist III, Product Development
Position Summary
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, Standard Hours
100% on-site

This Associate Scientist III role provides hands-on experience across the full drug development lifecycle, from formulation through commercialization, building strong technical breadth. It is client-facing, offering exposure to cross-functional collaboration and strategic decision-making that accelerates career growth. You'll work alongside expert teams while directly contributing to bringing innovative medicines to market.
The Role
Conduct pre-formulation, formulation preparation, laboratory testing, and analytical work in the Product Development lab.
Plan, schedule, and execute lab activities to ensure timely project completion.
Perform solubility, compatibility, drying, and material characterization studies.
Prepare laboratory fill mixes, air-filled capsules, gel swatches, and samples for animal PK studies.
Execute physical and chemical testing including moisture, water activity, hardness, rheology, dissolution, disintegration, burst strength, and impact/drop testing.
Perform HPLC analysis and prepare buffers, mobile phases, and dissolution media.
Maintain accurate documentation (notebooks, batch records, reports), follow SOPs and HSE standards, and train new or existing personnel.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Doctorate in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related science.
Master's degree in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related science with 0-3 years of applicable product development experience required and direct pharmaceutical drug product development experience preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related science with 3 years of applicable product development experience required and direct pharmaceutical drug product development experience preferred.
Associate's in Pharmacy/Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or related science with 15 years of applicable product development experience required and direct pharmaceutical drug product development experience preferred.
Ability to stand, walk and reach regularly.
Individual is required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch regularly and lift to 15 pounds; no lifting greater than 44.09 pounds without assistance.
Vision requirements include ability to differentiate color, have 20/30 vision with or without corrective lenses, read written documents and frequent use of a computer monitor.
