The Village Veterinarian is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our established, full-service hospital in Chelan, Washington. Whether you're a new graduate looking for outstanding mentorship or an experienced veterinarian ready for more autonomy and career growth, you'll find the support, flexibility, and opportunity to build a career you love. 

Our hospital combines high-quality general practice with daytime urgent care, providing a diverse caseload without overnight shifts, weekends, or the demands of emergency medicine. Established in 1982, we've built a trusted reputation in the Chelan community, earning a 4.7-star Google rating through exceptional patient care and lasting client relationships.

You'll work alongside Medical Director Dr. Barbara Fehr, an experienced veterinarian who is passionate about developing confident, capable clinicians. New graduates can expect progressive independence—not sink-or-swim expectations—with mentorship that allows your caseload, surgical experience, and clinical confidence to grow at your own pace. Experienced veterinarians will enjoy the autonomy to practice high-quality medicine while continuing to expand their medical, surgical, and dental skills within a collaborative environment.

Hospital Hours: Monday- Friday we are open 8:30am- 4:00 pm, and closed Saturday & Sunday.

Compensation, Perks & More

  • Guaranteed Base Salary: $140,000 - $180,000 (DOE) + 20% Production with No Negative Accrual
  • Estimated Earning Potential Per Year: $200k+ (base salary & production)

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an AVMA accredited institution
  • Non-AVMA graduates: ECFVG or PAVE program in progress.
  • Active state veterinary license (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Strong diagnostic, surgical, and clinical skills
  • Excellent communication and client education abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach to animal care
