Job Description

Civil Engineering Technician plays a key role in supporting the development of high-quality engineering deliverables for these complex infrastructure projects. Under close supervision, this position performs technical tasks requiring advanced knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices, with a focus on creating and modifying site plans, grading designs, and utility layouts using advanced techniques in industry-standard design tools such as Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation.

Job Summary

Provides technical support to engineering teams under close supervision
Performs tasks requiring a basic understanding of engineering principles and practices
Uses digital tools and design software (e.G., CAD, BIM, 3D modeling) to assist with the creation, modification, and maintenance of technical documents and drawings and project deliverables
Participates in the evaluation of methods used in the development of deliverables and design activities to support continuous improvement and efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

Diploma or Certificate required. Associate Degree in Drafting or an Engineering Design Related Technology preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

Typically a minimum of 1 year related work experience.
