Assurance ManagerPosition Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assurance Manager to lead audit and assurance engagements for a diverse portfolio of privately held and middle-market clients. This individual will serve as a key advisor to clients while managing engagement teams, ensuring technical excellence, and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong technical accounting and auditing knowledge, exceptional client relationship skills, and a passion for developing staff.

Key ResponsibilitiesClient Service & Engagement ManagementLead assurance engagements from planning through completionServe as the primary point of contact for assigned clientsIdentify and communicate accounting, financial reporting, and operational risksProvide recommendations to improve internal controls, processes, and financial reporting practicesReview financial statements and related disclosures for accuracy and complianceManage engagement budgets, timelines, and profitabilityTeam LeadershipSupervise, mentor, and develop senior associates and staff accountantsReview workpapers and provide constructive feedbackFacilitate technical training and on-the-job developmentAssist with staffing, scheduling, and workload management across engagementsTechnical ExpertiseApply and interpret U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and other applicable professional standardsResearch and resolve complex accounting and auditing issuesEnsure engagement quality and compliance with firm methodology and professional standardsStay current on emerging accounting and regulatory developmentsBusiness DevelopmentDevelop and maintain strong client relationshipsIdentify opportunities to expand service offeringsParticipate in networking and business development activitiesSupport the firm's growth initiatives and community presenceQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting requiredCPA license required or actively pursuing completion of licensing requirements5+ years of progressive public accounting experience with a focus on audit and assurancePrior experience supervising and developing professional staffStrong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and auditing standardsExcellent communication, leadership, and client service skillsProven ability to manage multiple engagements and competing deadlines
