Workers' Compensation AssociateDM Injury Law · Kansas City, MO · Full-time[Missouri Bar required][No billable hours][$115K–$170K total comp][Uncapped origination bonus]$115,000 – $170,000 Total CompensationBase salary plus quarterly performance bonus. High performers consistently earn above the range. Total comp grows with you — there is no cap.ORIGINATION BONUS — UNCAPPED, PAID ON EVERY CASE YOU BRING INRefer a case to the firm and earn one-third of the firm's fee at resolution — on top of your regular compensation. Most firms reserve this for partners. We offer it to every attorney from day one.

DM Injury Law is one of the fastest-growing personal injury firms in the Midwest — 70+ attorneys, 200 support staff, and offices across 10 markets including Kansas City, St. Louis, Denver, Omaha, and Oklahoma City. We've secured multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements for clients across every market we serve.This role sits inside our Kansas City office. You'll handle all aspects of representing clients in their workers' compensation matters — from the moment a case opens through each resolution — while providing direction and supervision to non-attorney staff to ensure full compliance with workers' compensation laws, regulations, and labor codes.70+ attorneys firm-wide200+ support staff10 markets$11M top verdictWHAT YOU'LL DO
- Proactively communicate with clients to provide updates and claim status throughout their matter
- Interact and negotiate with insurance companies on behalf of clients
- Draft case materials, correspondence, pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other legal documents
- Ensure accuracy of all documents prepared by you and your team
- Represent clients at hearings, depositions, mediations, and other proceedings
- Provide direction and supervision to non-attorney staff in compliance with all workers' compensation laws and regulations
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Active Missouri Bar license — required
- At least one year of workers' compensation experience preferred; strong candidates with relevant litigation background considered
- Eligibility to obtain Kansas Bar license (UBE score or reciprocity)
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills
- Committed to providing responsive and compassionate client service
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs — Excel, Word, SharePoint
- Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
