- Hybrid-Remote Schedule: 3 Days In-Office, 2 Remote
- Represent school districts and public educational agencies in special education due process hearings, mediations, resolution sessions, and administrative proceedings
- Draft and argue motions, briefs, and appeals before administrative tribunals and state and federal courts
- Advise clients on IEP compliance, policy development, and procedural safeguards under IDEA and Section 504
- Respond to state and federal compliance complaints
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on emerging issues in education law and regulatory changes
- Present workshops and trainings to school administrators and staff
- Participate in settlement negotiations and resolution sessions
- J.D. and licensed to practice in California
- 3+ years of experience in litigation, administrative law, education law, civil rights, or public agency representation
- Experience in administrative hearings, arbitrations, or agency proceedings — due process hearing experience a strong plus
- Comfortable handling motions practice, discovery, and appeals
- Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and California education statutes preferred, not required — firm will train the right litigator
- Special education background a plus but not a barrier to entry
