- Advise K-12 schools and community colleges on student services and special education matters
- Assist clients with the individualized education program process
- Present workshops and trainings to clients
- Review and revise policies and procedures
- Respond to state and federal compliance complaints
- Handle administrative due process hearings outside the traditional adversarial litigation context
- Build and maintain client relationships with public education institutions
- Conduct legal research, writing, and analysis on education law issues
- J.D. and licensed to practice in California
- Minimum 3 years of experience, with a focus on student services and special education law
- Experience or strong background in advising K-12 schools and/or community colleges
- Strong background in special education compliance, including IEP process, policy review, and administrative matters
- Proven ability or experience with compliance complaints, due process hearings, and education-related counseling
