Mission Recruiting is partnering with a premier plaintiff-side employment law firm to find a Law and Motion Attorney who wants their work to drive results that matter for workers across California.

This role is designed for an attorney who thrives behind the scenes of major litigation, crafting arguments that influence judges, strengthen trial teams, and help set the direction of workplace law statewide. If precision writing, complex legal analysis, and high-impact advocacy motivate you, this opportunity offers a powerful platform.

What You Will Do

  • Draft and argue motions, oppositions, replies, appellate briefs, and legal memoranda in employment matters including wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, and wage and hour claims
  • Lead dispositive motion practice such as summary judgment and demurrers with an eye toward shaping favorable case law
  • Conduct advanced legal research and provide strategic guidance that strengthens trial preparation and positioning
  • Collaborate closely with trial attorneys to refine arguments, assess risk, and anticipate defense strategies
  • Elevate discovery strategy and responses to support motion practice and settlement leverage
  • Support mediation and settlement efforts through sharp legal analysis and persuasive briefing

What You Bring to the Table

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school and active California Bar membership
  • Demonstrated strength in law and motion practice within employment litigation
  • Exceptional legal research, analysis, and writing skills with the ability to work independently
  • Deep familiarity with California and federal court rules and procedures
  • A genuine commitment to employee advocacy and workplace justice
