Elder Law Attorney – Hauppauge, NY
An established New York law firm is seeking an experienced Elder Law Attorney to join its growing practice in Hauppauge. This senior-level opportunity is focused on Elder Law, Medicaid planning, asset protection, long-term care planning, crisis Medicaid matters, and estate planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise clients regarding Medicaid eligibility and planning.
- Develop asset protection strategies.
- Develop pre-planning and crisis planning solutions.
- Oversee Medicaid applications and appeals.
- Counsel clients regarding long-term care, nursing home placement, and community Medicaid programs.
- Handle estate planning matters.
- Work closely with families navigating healthcare and financial challenges.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and referral sources.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Admission to and good standing with the New York State Bar.
- Experience with Elder Law, Medicaid Planning, Estate Planning, Trusts, or Estates.
- Strong knowledge of Medicaid eligibility rules and crisis planning strategies.
- Strong communication, client service, and organizational skills.
Work Arrangement
- This position is onsite only at the Hauppauge, NY office.
Compensation
- $150,000–$200,000 salary range.
- Discretionary year-end bonus paid in December.
