A progressive, highly respected regional CPA firm is expanding its Assurance practice and is seeking both an Audit Manager and an Audit Senior with experience serving nonprofit organizations.

What You'll Do ...

As an Audit Manager, you will lead multiple audit and assurance engagements while serving as the primary relationship manager for your clients. You'll oversee engagement teams, mentor staff, and collaborate closely with Partners to deliver exceptional client service.

Responsibilities include:

  • Manage multiple audit, review, and assurance engagements from planning through completion.

  • Serve as the primary client contact and develop long-term trusted advisor relationships.

  • Lead engagement planning, staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and workflow management.

  • Review financial statements, audit documentation, and client deliverables for quality and compliance.

  • Identify technical accounting and auditing issues and recommend practical solutions.

  • Ensure engagements are completed on time and within budget.

  • Monitor engagement profitability and communicate budget variances.

  • Supervise, mentor, and develop Audit Seniors, Staff Accountants, and Associates.

  • Participate in performance evaluations, coaching, and professional development.

  • Support business development initiatives and identify opportunities to expand client relationships.

  • Stay current on auditing standards, accounting regulations, and nonprofit industry developments.

Audit Senior

As an Audit Senior, you will perform and lead fieldwork on nonprofit audit engagements while mentoring junior staff and working closely with managers and partners.

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform audit and assurance procedures for nonprofit organizations.

  • Prepare and review audit workpapers and financial statements.

  • Assist with planning and executing engagements.

  • Supervise and mentor staff accountants during fieldwork.

  • Communicate effectively with clients throughout engagements.

  • Conduct technical accounting research and assist with resolving audit issues.

  • Ensure projects are completed accurately and within established timelines.

You Will Need ...

Audit Manager

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

  • Active CPA license required.

  • Five or more years of progressive public accounting audit experience.

  • Significant experience auditing nonprofit organizations is required.

  • Previous experience leading engagement teams and supervising staff.

  • Strong client relationship management and project management skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Audit Senior

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred.

  • Three or more years of public accounting audit experience.

  • Experience auditing nonprofit organizations is required.

  • Strong understanding of audit methodology and financial reporting.

  • Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff is a plus.

Travel Required
