The Opportunity
A well-established, growing public accounting and advisory firm is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join its Birmingham, AL office. This firm offers a strong platform with a diverse client base, collaborative culture, and long-term career growth opportunities.
The Audit Manager will play a key role in leading engagements, mentoring staff, and delivering high-quality audit services while maintaining strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and lead multiple audit engagements from planning through completion
Review audit workpapers and financial statements for accuracy and compliance
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and maintain strong relationships
Supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff and seniors
Ensure adherence to firm standards, timelines, and budgets
Assist with process improvements and firm growth initiatives
Qualifications
3+ years of public accounting experience with an audit focus
CPA or EA license preferred (or actively pursuing)
Experience managing or leading audit engagements
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
