Job Description
A progressive, highly respected regional CPA firm is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join its expanding Assurance practice. As an Audit Senior, you'll take a leadership role on engagements, work directly with clients across a variety of industries, mentor junior team members, and gain the experience needed to move quickly into management.
What You'll Do ...
Lead audit, review, and other assurance engagements from planning through completion.
Perform risk assessments and develop an understanding of clients' operations, internal controls, and accounting processes.
Execute and document audit procedures, including analytical reviews, substantive testing, and tests of internal controls.
Identify accounting, reporting, and internal control issues and recommend practical solutions.
Prepare and review financial statements and other client deliverables.
Coordinate engagement activities to ensure projects are completed accurately, on time, and within budget.
Supervise, mentor, and review the work of Staff Auditors while providing coaching and technical guidance.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, high-quality service.
Collaborate with managers and partners to deliver exceptional client outcomes.
Stay current on auditing standards, accounting guidance, and industry developments.
What You Need To Thrive ...
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
Two or more years of progressive public accounting audit experience.
CPA license preferred, or actively pursuing CPA certification with successful completion of one or more sections of the CPA exam.
Strong understanding of:
U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards
Experience leading portions of audit engagements and mentoring junior staff.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and client relationship management abilities.
Willingness to travel to client locations as needed.
