Automotive Accounting Specialist
Description of the role:
The Automotive Accounting Specialist position with Mills Automotive Group is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and dynamic team. This role is suitable for an experienced professional who has a strong background in dealership accounting and is looking to take on a role that can grow into a leadership position!
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile G/L account balances and schedules
- Daily deposit reconciliation
- Cash receipt posting
- Credit card batch processing
- Service & warranty receivable posting
- Customer A/R reconciliation
- Posting Wholesales and dealer trades
- Inventory additions and removals
- Deal Flow log & Clean Up
- Serve as backup for all accounting positions in the office
- Assist with month-end duties
- Ensure policies and procedures are upheld
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions related to the dealerships
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
Requirements:
- Dealership accounting experience a plus
- CDK system experience a plus
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
