Our global experience and broad capabilities provide an exciting and diverse environment for the continued growth of our team.Position SummaryThe Automotive Bench Test Technician is responsible for performing bench-level testing and validation of automotive components and systems. This role involves setting up test fixtures, executing test procedures, troubleshooting issues, and accurately documenting test results in support of engineering, quality, and customer requirements.Must-Have Skills & QualificationsStrong understanding of automotive electrical and electronic fundamentalsExperience performing bench-level testing of automotive componentsAbility to use test and measurement equipment, including:MultimetersPower suppliesOscilloscopes (basic to intermediate)Signal generatorsAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and test proceduresExcellent attention to detail with accurate documentation of test resultsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to follow standard work instructions and test plansKey ResponsibilitiesSet up and execute bench tests according to defined procedures and test plansConfigure test fixtures, wiring, and equipment for component and system testingPerform functional, performance, and validation testingTroubleshoot failures and identify root causes during testingAccurately document test data, observations, and resultsCommunicate test status, issues, and results to engineering and quality teamsMaintain organized test areas and ensure proper handling of test equipmentSupport continuous improvement of test processes and proceduresPreferred SkillsExperience testing ECUs, modules, sensors, actuators, or infotainment systemsFamiliarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, etc.)Experience with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) or automated test environmentsExposure to OEM or Tier 1 validation standardsBasic scripting or programming experience (Python, CAPL, LabVIEW – a plus)Physical & Work RequirementsAbility to sit or stand for extended periodsAbility to lift and move test equipment or components (up to 25–50 pounds, as required)Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
