Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Clerk to join our automotive team in Sonoma County. This role is responsible for processing vehicle deals, ensuring accurate billing, and supporting the accounting department with timely and compliant documentation. The ideal candidate has experience in automotive dealership operations and thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and post all new and used vehicle deals accurately and in a timely manner

• Verify deal paperwork for completeness and compliance with dealership and state requirements

• Prepare and submit billing to lenders, customers, and internal departments

• Reconcile deal schedules and resolve discrepancies

• Maintain accurate records of contracts, invoices, and related documentation

• Communicate with sales, finance, and accounting teams to ensure deal accuracy

• Assist with month-end closing processes

• Ensure compliance with California DMV and automotive regulatory requirements

• Support audits by maintaining organized and accessible records

Qualifications

• 2+ years of automotive billing or dealership accounting experience required

• Familiarity with dealership management systems preferred

• Strong understanding of automotive deal structure (retail, lease, wholesale)

• Knowledge of California DMV documentation and processes

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
