Location: Spanish Fort, AL | Pay:$30-$45 per hour, depending on experience | Job Type:Full-time

Qualifications:

• Strong electrical diagnostic abilities
• At least 3 years of hands-on automotive experience
• Proven ability to remove and replace transmissions within or under book time
• Personal basic tool set and the ability to use it effectively
• A collaborative mindset and solid teamwork skills
• Well-rounded mechanical knowledge with strong problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with Mitchell1, Identifix, and ProDemand
• Versatility to operate as both a diagnostician and a swing tech(diagnostics, minor repairs, and occasional R&R support)
• Capability to perform minor repairs in and around transmission systems
• Accurate diagnostic skills for transmission failures, engine misfires, drivability concerns, and mechanical issues
• Physical ability to lift heavy components and work efficiently
• A valid driver's license with the ability to drive both automatic and manual vehicles
• Experience programming vehicle control modules using OE and aftermarket software

In This Automotive Diagnostic Tech- Auto Mechanic Role, You'll:

Work Monday – Thursday, 7:30 am – 5:30 pm, and Friday, 7:30 am – 12:00 pm, while taking on responsibilities that keep every vehicle running at its best:

• Skillfully remove and reinstall automatic and manual transmissions
• Work with drivetrain components like mounts, CV axles, drivelines, and transfer cases
• Use advanced tools and hands-on techniques to diagnose transmission issues
• Perform maintenance services such as pan drops, fluid and filter changes, and external inspections
• Coordinate with builders and service advisors to maintain an efficient workflow
• Assist with shop upkeep, including organizing tools and moving non-running vehicles
• Conduct diagnostics using Mitchell1 software, calibrations, scanning, and wire repairs
• Test-drive vehicles to verify customer concerns and confirm repairs
• Ensure every car leaving the shop meets our high-quality standards
