A Level Diesel Technician – $25–$50/hr – No Weekends
Location: Cumberland, RISchedule: Monday – FridayPay Range: $25.00 – $50.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)Experience Required: 6+ Years (Light, Medium & Heavy-Duty Diesel)
Position Summary
Promotive is hiring experienced A-Level Diesel Technicians for a well-established auto and truck repair shop in Cumberland, RI specializing in light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty diesel vehicles. This is a full-time, Monday–Friday opportunity offering strong hourly pay, weekly pay periods, and excellent benefits — with annual earning potential exceeding $100,000+.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems from F-250s to semi-trucks
- Perform advanced troubleshooting on Cummins, Duramax, Detroit, Caterpillar, Powerstroke, and other major diesel platforms
- Complete brake, suspension, drivetrain, and general truck repairs
- Perform preventive maintenance services and trailer repairs
- Handle aftertreatment and emissions system diagnostics and repairs
- Maintain efficiency while delivering high-quality workmanship
- Collaborate with foremen and technicians to ensure smooth workflow and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of professional experience as a Diesel Technician
- Strong experience with light-duty, medium-duty, and heavy-duty diesel vehicles
- Proven diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with Cummins, Duramax, Detroit Diesel, Caterpillar, and Powerstroke platforms
- Ability to work independently without constant oversight
- Must bring your own tools
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay: $25.00 – $50.00 per hour (based on experience and skill level)
- Annual earning potential exceeding $100,000+
