Job Description

Conklin Automotive Group is looking for a skilled Automotive GM Certified Service Technician to join our renowned service team. As a GM Certified Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic, repair, and maintenance work on General Motors vehicles. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of GM systems and specifications, alongside a commitment to delivering high-quality customer service. Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems on GM vehicles according to manufacturer specifications
Perform routine maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and inspections
Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues and develop effective repair solutions
Communicate repair requirements and maintenance recommendations to customers clearly and professionally
Stay up-to-date with GM training, certifications, and industry advancements
Support a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety standards
Collaborate effectively with service advisors and other technicians to ensure customer satisfaction

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; GM certification is required
Proven experience as a Service Technician, preferably with GM vehicles
Strong knowledge of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repair techniques
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Effective communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
