Automotive Inventory Clerk

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Vehicle Inventory Clerk to join our team. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate records of new and used vehicle inventory, ensuring vehicles are properly entered into the system, and supporting the sales and accounting teams with inventory tracking. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of all new and used vehicle inventory
• Enter and update vehicle information in the dealership management system
• Verify vehicle details including VINs, stock numbers, and vehicle status
• Assist with inventory reconciliation and reporting
• Coordinate with the sales and accounting departments to ensure inventory accuracy
• Track incoming and outgoing vehicles, including dealer trades and transfers
• Handle all dealer purchases alongside used car manager by stocking into inventory and accounting
• Review payables/receivables of units
• Follow up on title status
• Maintain clean reconciliation schedules weekly
• Assist with vehicle file organization and documentation
• Support inventory audits and other administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Basic computer and data entry skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Previous dealership or inventory experience preferred
• CDK system preferred but not required

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
