A Level or B+ Automotive Mechanic | $30–$50/hr | No Weekends
Location: Eugene, ORSchedule: Monday – Friday, 6:15 AM – 5:30 PMPay Range: $30–$50/hr Depending on ExperienceEarning Potential: $80,000–$120,000+
Position Summary
Promotive is hiring an experienced A Level or High-Level B Automotive Mechanic for one of the most respected independent repair shops in Eugene, OR.
This family-owned operation has been serving the community since 1952 and has built a reputation for solving the problems other shops can't. In fact, local dealerships regularly send difficult diagnostic work their way. With a 17+ bay facility, modern equipment, dedicated support staff, and a strong car count, this is an outstanding opportunity for a mechanic who wants to work alongside some of the best in the industry.
We're looking for a professional who can confidently handle advanced repairs, diagnostics, and drivability concerns while contributing to a positive, team-oriented culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair domestic, Asian, and light European vehicles
- Perform advanced electrical, drivability, and drivetrain diagnostics
- Complete brake, steering, suspension, and general mechanical repairs
- Test and repair charging systems, batteries, starters, and electrical components
- Utilize modern scan tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair software
- Accurately document findings and repair recommendations
- Communicate effectively with service advisors and fellow team members
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment
- Deliver quality repairs while meeting productivity goals
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional automotive repair experience preferred
- A-Level Mechanic or High-Level B Mechanic with strong diagnostic abilities
- Proven experience diagnosing electrical, drivability, and complex vehicle concerns
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimal supervision
- ASE Certifications are a plus
- Comfortable using modern scan tools and shop technology
- Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and team-first mentality
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
