Automotive Technician

Essential Functions

1. Inspect and diagnose vehicle malfunctions, problems, and maintenance needs.

2. Perform repairs using safe and proper vehicle-repair techniques.

3. Ensure that the required documentation is complete and in compliance with dealership regulations.

4. The service technician is also responsible for quality control of repair orders and the maintenance and cleanliness of the repair shop in the Service Department.

Qualifications

1. Experienced Line Technician (3 years minimum).

2. Must be at least 18 years of age.

3. MD State Inspector Certification is a plus but not required.

4. Valid driver’s license with a good record.

5. A self-motivator with strong attention to detail.

6. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

7. Strong leadership qualities.

8. A results-oriented individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

10. A positive attitude with excellent communication skills.

11. Strong work ethic.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position and hours of work and days must be flexible to include evening hours and some Saturdays.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and at times, outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times as well.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds. The employee will frequently be required to operate vehicles.
