Automotive Technician – Job Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Automotive Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure safe and reliable operation. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic abilities, hands-on experience, and can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance services such as oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and tire rotations

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and drivability issues using diagnostic tools and equipment

• Repair or replace components including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and steering systems

• Perform inspections and identify additional service needs

• Maintain accurate repair orders and document all work performed

• Follow all safety procedures and shop protocols

• Keep work area clean and organized

• Communicate effectively with service advisors and team members

• Stay up to date with current automotive technology and repair techniques

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role

• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

• Knowledge of gasoline and/or diesel engine systems (diesel experience a plus)

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• ASE certifications are a plus but not required
