Position Summary
Promotive is hiring an experienced A Level or strong B+ Automotive Technician for a well-established, family-run shop in Conshohocken, PA. This is a Monday-Friday role (no weekends — not even “just this one time”) where skilled techs can focus on diagnostics, quality repairs, and staying productive.
With a flat-rate structure and a weekly guarantee, you get the best of both worlds: consistency when things are slow and strong upside when you’re turning hours. If you’re the type who can diagnose a noise in two minutes that’s been driving everyone else crazy all day — you’ll fit right in.
Key Responsibilities
Perform accurate diagnostics and repairs on all makes and models
Complete Pennsylvania State Inspections and safety checks
Handle brakes, suspension, steering, electrical, and drivetrain repairs
Keep your bay productive and jobs moving efficiently
Assist and mentor junior technicians when needed
Communicate clearly with the Service Manager on estimates and repair progress
Maintain a clean, organized workspace (future you will appreciate it)
Participate in ongoing training to stay current with evolving vehicle technology
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as an Automotive Technician
Valid Pennsylvania State Inspection License (required)
ASE certifications preferred or willingness to obtain
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Proven ability to succeed in a flat-rate environment
Leadership mindset with willingness to help develop junior techs
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Must pass background check and drug screen
Compensation & Benefits
Flat rate pay: $25-$48/hr depending on experience and production
Weekly guarantee: $25-$35/hr depending on experience
Tiered production bonus (top performers earning up to $48/hr effective rate)
