The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Transmission Technician to join a busy independent automotive repair shop in Selma, TX. If you have at least 2 years of professional transmission repair experience and enjoy diagnosing, rebuilding, and repairing automatic and manual transmissions, this is an excellent opportunity.
You'll work in a well-equipped shop with consistent workflow, modern technology, ongoing training, and a team that values quality workmanship.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose transmission concerns on domestic vehicles.
- Remove, rebuild, repair, and replace automatic and manual transmissions.
- Perform transmission-related diagnostics, electrical testing, and drivability repairs.
- Complete repairs from diagnosis through final quality inspection.
- Perform related drivetrain and differential repairs as needed.
- Document digital vehicle inspections, repair recommendations, and repair notes using Tekmetric.
- Communicate repair findings with the service team.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Deliver quality repairs while maintaining strong productivity.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of professional transmission repair experience.
- Strong A-Level Technician or experienced B-Level Technician.
- Experience diagnosing and repairing automatic and manual transmissions.
- Ability to complete repairs independently from start to finish.
- Strong computer skills and experience with shop management software.
- ASE Certifications are a plus.
- Professional attitude, strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- B-Level: $33–$45 Flat Rate
- A-Level: $50–$77 Flat Rate
