Aviation Engineering Design ManagerDallas/Fort Worth, TX · Full-Time · On-SitePosition OverviewA nationally recognized architecture and engineering firm is seeking an experienced Aviation Engineering Design Manager to lead multidisciplinary engineering efforts on complex aviation projects.This role is responsible for overseeing engineering design coordination, ensuring technical excellence, and supporting large-scale airport and aviation infrastructure projects from concept through construction. The ideal candidate brings strong aviation experience, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of engineering systems integration.Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage engineering design efforts for aviation and airport-related projects.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and civil disciplines.
- Ensure compliance with aviation authority standards, building codes, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee technical quality control and integration of engineering systems with architectural design.
- Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling efforts.
- Serve as a technical liaison with clients, consultants, and aviation stakeholders.
- Provide mentorship and leadership to engineering staff.
- Participate in construction administration, including submittal review and site coordination as required.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering from an accredited university (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related discipline).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 10+ years of professional experience, with significant aviation project experience.
- Demonstrated experience managing engineering design teams on complex public-sector or aviation projects.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, and aviation design standards.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent project responsibilities.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Experience with large-scale airport terminals, concourses, or airside/landside infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with sustainability standards and high-performance building systems.
- Experience coordinating directly with aviation authorities and regulatory agencies.
