What You'll Do
- Inspect aircraft structures and document damage or wear
- Perform sheet metal repairs and structural modifications (wing, fuselage, tail, etc.)
- Fabricate and modify aircraft structural components
- Complete minor repairs on composite materials
- Perform mechanical and electrical removals and installations
- Interpret and follow maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical data
- Assist with complex structural repairs on and off aircraft
- Use precision tools to ensure compliance with aviation standards
- Inspect confined areas of the airframe
- Follow all environmental health and safety procedures
- Stay current with industry trends and regulatory requirements
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 1 year of structural sheet metal experience (3+ years preferred)
- Experience with corporate or commercial aircraft preferred
- CRJ airframe experience is a plus
- MRO experience is a plus
- Military aircraft maintenance experience (Depot / Phase / Isochronal) a plus
- Completion of Sheet Metal A/C Tech School or equivalent preferred
- FAA A&P or Airframe License preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong knowledge of aircraft structures and materials
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Must have a basic set of tools
- Strong communication (written & verbal) skills
- Comfortable working 12-hour shifts in a 24/7 operation (days, nights, weekends)
- Proficient with computer-based maintenance systems
- Ability to obtain a SIDA badge (if required)
