Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced 3 and 5 Axis Milling Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining 3 and 5 axis milling machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality. Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate 3 and 5 axis milling machines to produce precision parts according to specifications.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical documents.
- Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications using a variety of measurement tools.
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
Required Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree, military training or certification in. machining or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience operating 3 and 5 axis milling machines.
- Experience with tight tolerances and precision parts.
- Knowledge of GD&T.
- Experience with metrology/measuring tools.
- Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Desired Experience:
- Experience with CAD/CAM software.
- Tool Grinding.
- Experience with Swiss style lathes.
- Experience with advanced metrology equipment such as CMMs.
- Experience with NPI.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 35 pounds.
- Prolonged periods of standing and working with machinery.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
