Job Description

Job Summary

The Pharmacy Licensing & Credentialing Manager is responsible for managing and maintaining licensure, certifications, and credentialing documentation for BaRupOn's pharmacies, pharmacists, and technicians across multiple jurisdictions. This associate-level role ensures timely renewals, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness for pharmacy operations nationwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and maintain pharmacy licenses (state boards of pharmacy, DEA, FDA, etc.)
  • Submit applications for new licenses, renewals, and changes of ownership or address
  • Track expiration dates and regulatory deadlines using compliance management software
  • Maintain current credentials for pharmacists, technicians, and clinical staff
  • Collaborate with legal, operations, and HR to ensure all credentialing documents are current
  • Prepare documentation for regulatory audits, inspections, and accreditations
  • Monitor state/federal updates and compliance changes impacting pharmacy operations
  • Respond to inquiries from boards of pharmacy and credentialing bodies

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Health Administration, Business, or a related field
  • 2–4 years of experience in pharmacy licensing, credentialing, or healthcare compliance
  • Knowledge of state pharmacy board regulations, NABP tools, and DEA registration processes
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills
  • Experience with credentialing systems or compliance platforms (e.g., Certemy, MedTrainer, Symplr)
  • Familiarity with USP <797>/<800>, HIPAA, and pharmacy operations

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in multi-state or multi-site pharmacy environments
  • Notary Public or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) certification
  • Experience with FDA 503A/503B licensing or outsourcing facility registration
  • Understanding of CLIA, NABP inspections, or specialty pharmacy credentialing
